PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT
Position Summary
The Payroll Accountant provides accurate and timely processing of HR & Payroll transactions, and handles inquiries, requests, and cases to closure, while appropriately escalating complex cases.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Process payroll accurately and timely
· Ensure employees are paid correctly
· Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
· Reconcile and submit 401K information to vendor
· Process and post journal records for all payroll-related transactions
· Review payroll and time off reports
· Process manual checks when necessary
· Research and respond to employee inquiries
· Support HR and Payroll Audits
· Participate in special projects as needed
Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· 3+ years of work experience with UKG
· 3+ years of experience in Deltek Vision
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills at all organizational levels
· Comprehensive understanding of payroll systems, processes, applicable laws and regulations
· High integrity, sound judgment, and discretion regarding the handling of confidential information
